With the amount of supplies I have accumulated lately, it's no
wonder I sometimes forget what I have in stock. While my jewelry
components are well organized, I find that my sewing bits - not so much!
So when I happened to find some beautiful long black fringe left over
from an old sewing project recently, I just knew I had to make something
with it. But what to make? Well it turns out I didn't have to think for
too long before I already had a couple of designs in my head. My
thoughts went to creating this black velvet choker - Victorian style -
but with a bit of fantasy.Pretty black velvet ribbon, a beautiful
oxidized silver over brass stamping with a black onyx cabochon as the
focal and my latest choker took shape. I finished it off with an
extension chain and a pretty teardrop onyx bead.
But I have more plans for this pretty fringe...Follow along to see what I come up with.
